The file you uploaded is a FLAC file with tags. It appears in the normal tagged section and does not appear under [untagged].
I think you will find you also have a .wav file for this track (without tags) that is appearing under [untagged].

I think you will find you also have a .wav file for this track (without tags) that is appearing under [untagged].
I again checked metadata on the file in the 'untagged' section and it shows the same file, that is the flac file. The location is also the same. I also checked the folder and there are no other fikes other than the flac files!
What am I getting wrong?

What am I getting wrong?
This might be related to your settings for indexTags, itemTags and aliasTags. What do you have for these?

These are all default settings. Haven't changed any of them.

I have reproduced the problem. This file doesn't have any tags from indexTags and it is therefore listed in the [untagged] section of the index. This is correct behaviour.
This file does have Album and Title tags and it is therefore included in the "<n> albums" and "<n> items" lists. This is also correct behaviour.

What is the tag that I have to add to the file?
What information does the index tag usually contain? Do all files have an index tag?

It is normal for files to contain Artist tags. Most files also contain Genre and Date tags.
