Is that correct? This incorrect error message is now fixed in MinimStreamer 0.5.7. RE: Transcoding down - Pastim - 05-03-2015 14:29 (05-03-2015 13:46)simoncn Wrote:That's not quite worked. If I start testing with just flac:L16;44 again, CD quality plays fine, but 24/96 tracks play at the wrong speed/pitch on both my Marantz and my MF M1 CLiC. I rebooted after the update just to make sure there was no issue with the update, but the problem remained.(05-03-2015 13:28)Pastim Wrote: And thanks for your quick and straightforward responses to my sometimes daft queries. It is much appreciated. If I set the code to L24;192 and play a track of that quality on the M1 CLiC I now get "MinimStreamer: incorrect number format for property 'channels'" an it fails to play. If I use wav24;192 it plays. I haven't tried other tests yet. I presume something's gone awry with the L16 and L24 processing. I can't currently test the effectiveness of the processing because, as you said previously, wav details are imprecisely reported from the devices so I can't make that work properly on my set-up, and the there's an issue with L16/24 processing as reported in my previous post so I can't try that either.(04-03-2015 22:46)Pastim Wrote: I can't specify flac:wav24;192/wav24;96 (it is rejected), and so I assume that I have to set the transcoding to suit the least capable renderer that I have. RE: Transcoding down - simoncn - 05-03-2015 23:16 These problems with playing L16 and L24 streams are fixed now in MinimServer update 62 and MinimStreamer 0.5.8. Thanks very much for your help with this! A big improvement. I'm glad to hear this scenario is working now. Thanks very much for your help with testing this. You might also like to try flac:L24;192/wav24;96. If this works, it would give you 24/96 playback on the Marantz. RE: Transcoding down - sedest - 06-03-2015 11:17 Since latest update (ministreamer-0.5.8), I can no longer transcode dsf to dopwav. Does the stream play? If so, what do you hear? RE: Transcoding down - Pastim - 06-03-2015 12:40 (06-03-2015 10:51)simoncn Wrote:Strange. That doesn't work on the Marantz.
