A solution could be to run just one instance of Minimserver, on Synology, and use it on different control points.
Why run to instances on different hw pointing to the same library?

For recent versions of macOS, SMB is preferable. Which version of macOS are you running?

Catalina 10.15.7

I think one instance will solve the issue.

So this morning while drinking my coffee, I decided to give my issue one more hour of troubleshooting...Here's the results;

I looked through the list of recent server connections on my Mac and I decided to dig into this path: afp://msg_backup._afpovertcp._tcp.local/music

I looked at the Name & Extension in the properties window (see attached) and discovered music-1. I went to the properties window of my Mac Instance of MinimServer and changed the Content Dir from /Volumes/music to /Volumes/music-1, re-scanned and viola; 850 albums & 10318 records, just like the Synology instance.

Not sure how the Content Dir got changed. Took a while to figure it out but I tracked it down.

Now I have to run my backup USB disk and point to the proper path because it too had copied data from the wrong path.
