I have the latest version of minimwatch on my computer
but doesnt have the rescan and options
running on Mac OS X 10.75

It sounds like you are still running MinimWatch 0.72. To get these menu selections, you need to be running MinimWatch 0.8.1.

Do you have the previous 0.72 version of MinimWatch set to start automatically in your login items, or to restart automatically after a system shutdown and restart?
It would be a good idea to uninstall the previous 0.72 version by dragging it to the trash. This will prevent it from starting automatically.

Simon only have MinimWatch 0.8.1 update on the mac it doesnt start automatically

Please post a screenshot of what you are seeing for the pop-up menu choices from MinimWatch.
MinimWatch 0.8.1 should always show an Options choice. If MinimWatch 0.8.1 can't detect any running instances of MinimServer, the Rescan choice should appear and should be disabled (greyed out).
