Netgear UltraNAS - Mr D - 25-11-2012 11:19 Hi Tired of twonky's let-downs, I'm interested in MinimServer. Has anyone migrated from Twonky and could highlight the pro's & cons? More importantly (as a non techie) is MinimServer compatible with my Nas and reasonably straight forward to install (I don't know how to right in linux etc) Netgear Router WNR3500v2 – Netgear GS108 Switch - Ready NAS Ultra 2 ( hard wiredCAT5 - RJ45’s) Akurate DS, Akurate Kontrol, 2 x 4200, 1 x 2200, Aktive 242’s RE: Netgear UltraNAS - bbrip - 25-11-2012 12:51 Once you are on Minim you'll never turn back to Twonky. the dynamic trees created by Minim are just so much better than anything you may hardcode in Twonky. As far as ReadyNas packages are concerned, I understand Simon is working on it. I am a keen interested party as well for my NVX ![]() Bbrip RE: Netgear UltraNAS - simoncn - 25-11-2012 14:46 (25-11-2012 12:51)bbrip Wrote: Once you are on Minim you'll never turn back to Twonky. the dynamic trees created by Minim are just so much better than anything you may hardcode in Twonky. Just confirming that I'm planning to start investigating this soon, using a ReadyNAS that I've borrowed from someone for a few weeks. Thanks for the info - Do you know what timescales are suggetsed for MinimServer and the ReadyNAS family? I can't commit to anything at the moment. Until I get a prototype working, I don't know what issues I'm going to encounter or how long it will take me to solve them. I need to return the borrowed NAS in mid-January, so I'm hoping to get it done by then. RE: Netgear UltraNAS - bbrip - 18-12-2012 16:46 Hi Simon, Any news on your ReadyNAS version? Cheers Bbrip RE: Netgear UltraNAS - simoncn - 18-12-2012 18:01 (18-12-2012 16:46)bbrip Wrote: Hi Simon, I'm in the process of finishing something else. After that's done, the ReadyNAS version is next in the queue.
