Connecting to Magic UK radio station - ceejayemm - 27-10-2022 09:44 I am trying to set up access to the Magic UK radio station. I am getting the necessary URL from radiofeeds.co.uk and on the day that I add the Magic UK url to Minimserver I can play the station without any problem. On subsequent days however the station will not play. The problem seems relates to the '?aw_0_1st.skey=' parameter at the end of the station URL. This seems to change on a regular (daily ?) basis. For example, when I first tried this the Magic UK URL was: http://edge-bauermz-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/magicnational.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1663924539 On a second attempt it was: http://edge-bauermz-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/magicnational.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1665422123 and later still it was: http://edge-bauermz-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/magicnational.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1665475077 My radios.m3u file looks like: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:-1,[*MAGIC] Magic UK http://edge-bauermz-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/magicnational.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1665422123 It seems that Greatest Hits Radio (also a Bauer group station) also has this problem with: http://edge-bauermz-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/net2london.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1666689044 Is there any way Minimserver can cope with this regular change to the URL for a web radio station ? BTW - other Bauer group radio stations without this particular parameter play consistently without any problems. I have tried to contact Magic UK to ask if there is a different URL I could use but so far have not had a reply. Thanks Chris RE: Connecting to Magic UK radio station - simoncn - 27-10-2022 10:40 The only way to do this would be to set up an automated daily task to discover the URL for that day, write it into your radio .m3u playlist and then do a MinimServer rescan to read the updated playlist. All this (including the rescan) could be done with a cron job or similar. |
