No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - nico_g - 10-02-2026 22:37 Hello, I run successfully Minimserver 2.2 on a Linux distro OpenSuSE Tumbleweed on Intel 64 bits with Plasma/Wayland. The icon is showing up in the tray (green) . All is OK, I can play music, the server is running. The only problem is that there is non contextual menu when I right-click on the Icon. I tried a few times, restarting minimserver. I tried minimwatch and it's the same problem. It's not very important as all the rest seems OK, but it's a little problem. Thanks for your help. RE: No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - simoncn - 10-02-2026 23:14 (Edit) This is a known issue (bug) in OpenSUSE (see this thread). It has been reported but there seems no interest from the OpenSUSE developers in fixing it. RE: No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - nico_g - 11-02-2026 08:24 Thanks for the link. I think I have to accept this bug... RE: No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - nico_g - 11-02-2026 21:11 I tested with Gnome and the menu appears, so it's related to Plasma... Hope they will fix it. Even with the latest up to date Tumbleweed version, the problem remains. RE: No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - ceejayemm - 23-02-2026 10:21 Hi Same here with MX Linux 25 KDE, which uses Plasma for the desktop, which I use to run MininWatch to access my server which is run through Docker on my NAS (close to music source). Was OK with MX Linux 23 KDE. A similar installation of MinimWatch works fine with MX Linux 25 XFCE on my laptop so I can use that to manage the server Everything else seems OK. Its so long since I used the web page at http://<server ip>:9790, it seems I can do most things there except see the log files - anything else I can do from context menu but not from the web page ? Chris RE: No contextual menu on Linux OpenSuSE (Plasma/Wayland) - simoncn - 23-02-2026 12:44 I think the configuration web page provides everything apart from viewing the log. Another missing function until recently was the ability to install a specific update level. This was added to the configuration web page in MinimServer update 268. |
