Hi
I've been using Minimserver2 in a Docker container on DSM for a month and it works fine. I only need one server instance, so I've stopped the Minimserver package on the host. However, this doesn't persist: it restarts, not sure when, maybe on a host reboot. Did I miss something in the installation instructions? Thanks |

RE: Synology docker - host package restarts
How did you stop the host instance? If you stopped it using Stop or Close from MinimWatch, it will restart when you reboot the NAS. If you stop it from the Synology DSM Package Center, it should not restart when you reboot the NAS.

RE: Synology docker - host package restarts
After first switching to Docker I stopped the host instance in Package Center as you suggest. But maybe this arose after I did the 193 update. Maybe I updated the host instance via Package Center and that restarted it. I've stopped it from Package Center again and I'll report back if the occurs again.
Thanks for the help. |

RE: Synology docker - host package restarts
This is not an urgent issue. but I noticed today a week after my initial post that the DSM host instance of Minimserver has restarted on its own (no reboot, manual stop or upgrade), so I have two instances running. It would be better if this could be controlled somehow, so I'm not presented with 2 identical servers in the controller interfaces.
Thanks |

RE: Synology docker - host package restarts
Are you running MinimServer 2 or MinimServer 0.8 on the host?

RE: Synology docker - host package restarts
OK user trouble. I didn't realise that I had a weekly restart of the package in the task scheduler. Now removed. Doh!
