Deactivating a subscription
I have two units (a PC and a NAS) on which I had MinimServer installed, but which are no longer usable. How do I remove the licence subscriptions if I can no longer access the units?

RE: Deactivating a subscription
You should use the Contact form on the minimworld.com web page to request this. In your request, please provide details of your license and the devices that are no longer in use.

RE: Deactivating a subscription
I had two QNAP HS-251+ units, one of which has now failed. However, it is impossible to distinguish one from the other as both are listed simply as QNAP HS-251+.

RE: Deactivating a subscription
The same thing happened to me with my HS-251+. Putting it in the oven on 50 degrees for ten minutes before powering it on extended its life for a few months but eventually it failed completely. I replaced it with an HS-264.

I think my problem was a failed disk. I am now back up and running again, but ffmpeg is missing. How do I install it on the NAS?

RE: Deactivating a subscription
I am pleased to hear your HS-251+ is back in action again.

See note 2 of this section for details of how to download and install a suitable version of ffmpeg.

If you would like your PC license activation removed, use the Contact form to send a request with your email address, license code and details of the device that is no longer usable.

RE: Deactivating a subscription
Thank you for your help.

All now seems sorted. The licence transferred automatically to the new discs in the NAS, possibly as I have given it the same name (or the system detects the unit in some other way).

Incidentally, the link for downloading ffmpeg (https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/379) in the section you refer to does not work.
