NAS loses configuration on MinimServer Restart from MinimWatch
First of all, I want to say that I have been using MinimServer for a couple of years and I’m very satisfied about it Smile

I have one issue, maybe it’s caused by my NAS, not MinimServer:
After a restart my QNAP TS-109 II always loses the configuration (as opposed to my TS 259 Pro+).

Today I tried to find the cause, without success:

I decide to take a look at the minimserver.config file and its access rights in /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer/data.
To my surprise I can only find the minimserver.config.lock file there (while MinimServer is running), but there is no minimserver.config.

I open the MinimWatch Properties dialog (with the settings in effect, which I had made earlier) and click Apply. After that there is still no minimserver.config.

I stop MinimServer from MinimWatch and create minimserver.config in /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer/data using the following commands:
echo "minimserver.contentDir = /share/Qmultimedia/Music" > minimserver.config
echo "minimserver.displayName = MinimServer [NAS1]" >> minimserver.config
etc.,
with all the values that I usually enter in the MinimWatch Properties dialog.

I use
more minimserver.config
to verify the content of the file.

After restarting MinimServer from MinimWatch the minimserver.config file is gone again. Only the minimserver.config.lock file is there.

Is there anything I can do about this NAS not keeping the MinimServer configuration?

QNAP Firmware 2.1.0 Build 0904T

Version information from QPKG:
JRE_ARM 8.0.0
NPTL 0.20
MinimServer 0.8.1.1

Version information from MinimWatch:
MinimServer 0.8.1 update 31.

RE: NAS loses configuration on MinimServer Restart from MinimWatch
MinimServer and MinimWatch 0.8.1 are no longer supported. Please install the latest 0.8.4 versions and see if you still have this problem.

RE: NAS loses configuration on MinimServer Restart from MinimWatch
Thanks for your quick reply!

I have updated to:
JRE_ARM 8.0.1
MinimServer 0.8.4.1

The control point shows that the settings I have made in MinimWatch have taken effect (change/add content directories, modify indexTags and tagOptions).
MinimWatch shows the green icon.
In /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer/data there is minimserver.config.lock, but no minimserver.config file.
After a restart the settings are gone.

I don't know what could cause this. From your earlier post, I see you are using a very old level of the QNAP firmware. I would recommend updating this to 3.3.3 build 1003, which is the latest available level for the TS-109 II.

Do you have the NPTL package installed? This is required for running MinimServer and Java on the TS-109 II.
