Cambridge Audio CXNv2 streams stall since firmware update
I have a CXNv2 served by MinimServer on a Raspberry Pi (among other sources). The firmware for this device was updated at the end of October to Service Pack: v022-a-152+a, since which time I have had intermittent stalls on streams from all sources. I have submitted a ticket to CA support, which they have responded to, but it seems like they have not had similar reports of this happening. I suspect they don't have many UPnP users.

Just wondering if anybody else out there has had problems since this update. There do seem to be some issues with Tidal streaming since then, but I am not using Tidal.

Just a wild shot: does your router still see the CXNv2 with the same settings? In particular, UPnP enabled and IGMP proxying disabled. This is presuming your router control webpage allows the user to control these settings.

Sorry about late reply and thanks for suggestions. UPnP is enabled on the router, and it has no provison for IGMP management. "IGMP" does not even appear in the user manual.

Actually, the router did turn out to be at the centre of this problem. I had switched to a router which had "monitor network traffic" turned on, which seemed to bother the CXNv2. It's required for detecting DoS attacks and I'm not sure how or when it got switched on. Anyway, as soon as I turned it off, the problem went away. Seems strange that the CXNv2 should be bothered about network monitoring, but it was. Problem solved for me, but I suggested to Cambridge Audio that they should investigate the issue. No other network streaming devices on the LAN had a similar reaction.

Router was TP-Link TL-WDR3600.

Cheers,
Marmite.
