Limitation to Aliasing Why ?
Hi Simon,
I'm not sure if I am missing a possibility to solve the following: I have a WORK tag on my classical Albums which I want to use for grouping and indexing. When I hopefully used the aliasTags property aliasTags WORK:Group it worked fine but I am no more able to browse the WORK tag Reading in the manual again I discovered that I misread the explanation. That there is only one Source entry possible but multiple Target entries. I would had expected it the other way round. I can't imagine a reason for that limitation ![]() So I tried to Format a new Tag containing the Group value but that seems not to be possoble to use the group tag for that purpose. ![]() And trying to format a group tag out of a work tag doesn't work either (I wouldn't really have expected this to work )So is there a possibility to define a browsable indexed TAG as the Group TAG without duplicating the TAG on file level ? ![]() When I read your announcements of the Aliasing feature I thought this would be the prime purpose of it.
