It sounds like MinimServer is installed and running correctly. MinimServer should have scanned all your music files under the /Users/mike/Music folder and made these files available to browsing and playing using a UPnP control point such as Linn Kinsky. If this isn't the folder where you keep your music files, you need to change the contentDir property to the correct location, press OK, and select Restart from the tray icon pop-up menu.

Have you tried browsing and playing your music using a UPnP control point? You can't do that with MinimServer because MinimServer is just a server and not a control point or music player.
