dsm 7.2.2 : minimserver is stuck, Help !

Synology has recently released DSM 7.2.2 (without telling me first so that I could warn MinimServer users about what this means for them). This version of DSM is not compatible with many packages that were created for earlier versions of DSM 7.

You have updated DSM to DSM 7.2.2 and you currently have the MinimServer 2.2-7001 package installed. This package is not compatible with DSM 7.2.2. To enable MinimServer to run on DSM 7.2.2, you need to download the MinimServer 2.2-7003 package from the MinimServer Downloads page and do a manual install. This package runs on all versions of DSM 7.x. I asked Synology to put this package into the DSM Package Center but they refused to do this.

At some point there should be a MinimServer 2.2-7002 package in the DSM Package Center. This package runs on DSM 7.2.2 only because Synology would not accept a package that is also capable of running on earlier versions of DSM 7.x. I have submitted the 2.2-7002 package to Synology but for some reason they have not yet made it available publicly.

The way this has been done by Synology (as an intentionally breaking change for MinimServer users) seems completely crazy to me, with no regard for user impact or upward compatibility even though this would have been technically possible.
