For this reason, it would be better not to put the icons in a subfolder of C:\Program Files\MinimServer (or the equivalent on your Synology). The icons folder can be located anywhere on your NAS.

is there still an option to change the icon in MinimServer 2? .path does not work and there is no alternative entry under "Properties reference". |

I have just tried following the instructions in post #2 and it is working for me. Did you exit and restart MinimServer after making these changes?

oh no, i used the default.profile and not the minimserver.defaults. now it works. thanks!

On a Synology NAS, the data directory is the appData subfolder of the MinimServer shared folder.
