I've forgotten where we'd got to with this, but does this provide hope for Cambridge Audio NP30 users such as myself? I have to transcode to L16, which in theory should allow very long stream sizes to be set, but the NP30 still truncates at 2GB whatever.

You could try transcoding to WAV and using wavLimit to set the stream size to zero. I suspect this won't work (based on what the renderer is doing when you transcode to L16) but it does no harm to try.
