Problems playing HLS streams from ARD Radio Germany

I have a test build for MinimStreamer that appears to play all these streams correctly. What platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, NAS) are you using to run MinimServer and MinimStreamer?

Hi Simon, thanks for the info.

I'm running Minimserver including Minimstreamer on a Mac mini M1 (2020). My playback devices are primarily a HiFi Akademie Stream5 and two Lindemann Audio streamers, a Limetree Network and a Bridge II, which generally work perfectly with Minimserver. The software has automatic updates and is up to date.

The following information might be important. I use MConnect HD via iPhone and iPad as a control point for Stream5, and occasionally JPlay. The Lindemann app isn't designed for this and doesn't select the URLs.

On macOS you can install the test build by doing the following:

1) From the minim icon in the menu bar, select Properties
2) Select the Packages tab
3) In the 'Other package" field, type this: minimstreamer-2.1.2.1
4) Click Install and follow the prompts to complete installation
5) When the package has been installed successfully, click Restart

Please let me know if you find any streams that don't play correctly with this test build (for example, if playback isn't continuous but has gaps).

I just successfully installed the package and am delighted to find that all ARD web streams are playing. :-). Stream5 plays them flawlessly with the device's own software, as does MConnect HD.

I will now closely monitor for any further issues. I will gladly inform you of any problems that may arise.

The fix for this problem is now available in the official build MinimStreamer 2.1.3.
