But lots are missing. The minim watch icon goes yellow for about a minute when I press rescan but then goes back to transparent. The minim server icon has been yellow for over an hour.
Very frustrated as I don't really understand things on such a technical level. Guess I'll give up and stick with Twonky on the Melco.

I don't understand what you mean by the "minim watch" icon and the "minim server" icon. You should only be seeing one minim icon in the menu bar of your Mac. I suggest you click Exit from both icons and then launch MinimWatch again.
Yes, I realised I had accidentally installed minim server on my macbook pro as well as on my Melco. I have deleted it now. Unfortunately, many albums are still missing and they are not appearing under untagged or folder view. They are not .wma files which I know are unsupported by Minimserver. They are AIFF files.

Yes, .wma is Windows Media Audio.

All the formats you have listed are supported by MinimServer. Can you identify one album that is missing and take a look at what files you have for this album?

Have you checked under [untagged] and [folder view]?

RE: MinimWatch on Macbook Pro
I have found some error messages now such as....
Error: unexpected end of file at offset 27876536 in file import_CD/Jack White/

There are quite a few of them which might explain why so many of my albums are missing.

Yes, these error messages would cause albums to be missing. Can you post the complete text of the error message? You can find this in the MinimServer log window.

OK. It's pretty long!
All of the files play on the Melco using the Twonky server but for some reason, Minimserver doesn't find them!

Thanks for this. I would like to see one of the files that is causing this error. Do you have a Dropbox account or similar where you could upload the file?
