Installing minim server 2 problem
Hi, I have bought an HP Elitebook G7. Now I will install minimserver 2 on my QNAP TS-131. Unfortunately, I uninstalled the old app in my NAS. I have followed the installation instructions. I was able to install minimwatch. However, the installation for minimserver does not start. I use the Edge browser. There I can see that Edge has downloaded minimserver 2 under the downloads tab. I have installed Java according to the instructions. I can see that minimserver is saved in My Computer, Documents. I can also see a LOG file in File Station5 in my NAS. The icon is a blank sheet of paper for minimserver. When I double-click on Minimserver 2, a popup window opens. There I should choose an app to open the .qpkg file with. Meaning; Minimserver is not installed. I have followed the troubleshooting page. I have tried turning off the firewall. I have turned off my router, my NAS, and all devices with Minim installed or that control Minim. And then started everything again. When I go into the app center in my NAS to try to install manually, I can't find minimserver even though I can see the file in My Computer. How do I get past this popup window? And then install minim server 2? Greetings Ulf Jansson Uppsala, Sweden.

RE: Installing minim server 2 problem
To install MinimServer on your TS-131, do the following:

1) Make sure you have downloaded the correct file for your TS-131. This file is named MinimServer-2.2-armv5.qpkg
2) Open App Center on your NAS
3) In App Center, select Install manually
4) In the Install Manually pop-up that appears, click the Browse button
5) In the File Upload dialog that appears, browse to the .qpkg file on your Windows PC and select this file
6) In the Install Manually pop-up, click the Install button
7) In the 'Are you sure' pop-up, click OK

Hi again,
Thank you so much for the quick answer.
I have now installed minim server 2 and can continue.

RE: Installing minim server 2 problem
I apologize for my poor installation skills. Following the instructions I received from you, I have installed MinimServer in my QNAP TS-131 NAS. I still get a pop-up window when I try to open and install MinimServer on my computer. Which means I can't install MinimServer on my computer. Maybe that's OK?
The music can be played and listened to.
I have installed MinimWatch. I can see and operate the tray icon on my computer after ripping and then play music via my tablet. However, I can't open MinimWatch when I click on the icon on the desktop.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.
Regards,
Ulf

RE: Installing minim server 2 problem
If your music is on the NAS, you don't need to run MinimServer on the computer.

Double-clicking on the MinimWatch desktop icon should create the small tray icon in the taskbar if MinimWatch is not already running. This is the only function of the desktop icon. After this, you should use the MinimWatch tray icon to control MinimServer.
