RE: minimstream update crash
Apologies for assuming you are running MinimWatch.

The log you posted shows that you are running MinimServer and MinimStreamer on a desktop Linux system. In this setup (only) there is an idata directory containing log files.

If you look in the directory /home/crusty/Programs/minimserver/idata, you should see the crash log file and also a file named jminim.log. Please attach both these files (preferably compressed) to a post here. I will have an opportunity tomorrow evening to look at them.

RE: minimstream update crash
Ah Ha! I had looked for crash files including the word 'minimserver', to no avail. Now I see why.

I think I mentioned the ubuntu version in my 1st post, but didn't say it was a desktop. Sorry.

Logs attached.

RE: minimstream update crash
Thanks very much for this. I did see Ubuntu in your first post but I didn't pick up on the possibility / probabilty that it was a desktop installation of Ubuntu.

The information in these files has enabled me to reproduce a similar crash here (the error message is different). I will work on a fix and post back here when I have more information.

RE: minimstream update crash
I have found the cause of the problem. It only affects Linux desktop installations. The fix should be available tomorrow.

RE: minimstream update crash
The fix is available now in MinimServer update 272. Thanks for your help with finding the problem and my apologies for the inconvenience caused.

I'm afraid I now get a crash on installing minimserver, as well as minstreamer. Logs attached.

RE: minimstream update crash
You are getting this probem because you are running MinimServer update 271 and the bug in update 271 is preventing you from installing update 272. To fix this, you need to revert to an older level of MinimServer that doesn't have the bug. To do this, do the following:

1) From the Packages tab of the Properties dialog, select the package minimserver-update-271 in the 'Installed packages' list and click the Remove button followed by the Relaunch button

2) From the Packages tab of the Properties dialog, select the package minimserver-update-272 in the 'Avalilable packages' list and click the Install button

3) Follow the prompts to complete installation, them click the Relaunch button

4) MinimServer update 272 should now be installed and you should be able to install MinimStreamer 2.1.4 without errors.
