Artist sort order - ignoring "The"

I have the following in tagOptions

Artist.ignore.sort.index={The},Album.sortTags={+Date}

If I subsequently drill down in Artist in the control point I see that the first option is ignored - i.e. artists such as "The Beatles" appear under T rather than B - pretty sure this used to work.

Have tried both Kinsky & Kazoo control points but they show the same result.

Did you do a rescan of the library?

Hmm...not sure if it matters but it looks like you have spaces in the brackets. I dont have those.

No spaces. Here's something weird. If I include "All Artists" in indexTags - then I see the expected result when browsing "All Artists"

I just can't get this working for the Artist indexTag

This is working as expected/intended. The Artist index includes AlbumArtist tags where these are present. If you want "The" to be ignored for your AlbumArtist tags, you need to tell MinimServer to do that.

So to clarify, in the example above I need both Artist & AlbumArtist in tagOptions where initially I only had Artist ?

Yes.

I also noticed you have specified Album.sortTags twice. In this case, only the last setting '+Date' will be used. I will add a check for this in a future MinimServer update.
