The DS214+ has an ARMv7 processor. The step by step guide for installing MinimServer 2 on this model is in this section.

The step-by-step guide for updating to MinimWatch 2 on a Mac is in this section.

For getting started with MinimServer 2, the best introduction is this page.

To find what to put in the contentDir property, follow the instructions on this page. The example on the page shows selecting a shared folder. If you want to use a subfolder, right-click the subfolder, select Properties for the subfolder and copy the Location field. Make sure you copy and paste the Location value from the Properties dialog exactly as shown.

You can start with a 30-day free trial and pay before the end of the 30 days. The free trial provides all the functionality of the paid version.

For one or two devices, you need to use the "up to 3 devices" license.

It will be GREAT if you consider to add a lowest fee for single user. I am sure there is lot of user like me only need 1 but now we need to pay 3 users.

RE: Step by step to install Minimserver 2 to Synology DS214+
The intention is not to charge people for 3 devices when they only need one but rather to charge for one device and include the option of 2 more devices (if needed) at no extra cost.

An important feature of MinimServer is its support for multiple platforms and devices. MinimServer probably supports a greater range of platforms and devices than any other music server. Many people start with MinimServer on one device (often a NAS) and later find that is is useful to run it on some other device as well (perhaps a PC or Mac or a second NAS). If the user needed to pay an upgrade fee for the second device, many wouldn't do it and would miss out on one of the key benefits of MinimServer.
