New NAS

Dear, If I buy a new Synologuy DS200+ nas (good idea? coming from QNAP TS219+), Do I need to buy a new Minimserver license or can I transfer my current one?

You can transfer your current license by doing the following:

1) On your current NAS, open the MinimServer configuration web page
2) Select the License tab
3) Your license type should show as Full
4) Select Deactivate full license
5) Follow the prompts to confirm deactivation and restart MinimServer
6) On the License tab, your license type should now show as Starter

On your new NAS, do the following:

1) Install and start MinimServer
2) Open the MinimServer configuration web page
3) Select the License tab
4) Your license type should show as Starter
5) Select Activate full license
6) Enter your license code and email address. Your license code is in the license certificate email that you received when you purchased your full license.
7) Follow the prompts to confirm activation and restart MinimServer
8) On the License tab, your license type should now show as Full
