OK done this successfully but needed to input my activation code (no problem as I'd saved it). Minimserver now seems to be running OK on the iMac.
There is a second problem - Minimserver running on the NAS. I now have the message "Local network access is disabled". I checked the iMac System settings under "Privacy & Security" and found I had access enabled for both Minimserver and Minimwatch. This problem can be resolved by exiting Minimwatch via the NAS Minimserver drop-down menu and then restarting Minimwatch by double-clicking the Minimwatch application on the iMac. How can I avoid this error?

Is this message from MinimWatch or MinimServer? The title bar of the "startup error" message dialog will tell you. Don't go by what it says in the message text because there was a problem with the message text from MinimWatch saying 'MinimServer' by mistake (now fixed in MinimWatch update 118).
The solution is to download and install the 2.2.r4 versions of MinimServer and MinimWatch if you haven't done this yet. Make sure you drag the previous versions to the Trash before you do this and make sure you are launching MinimServer and MinimWatch from the Applications folder.

I followed your instructions. I was using Minimserver 2.2,r4 on the iMac but Minimwatch was 2.2 so I deleted this (and emptied the Bin) then downloaded Minimwatch 2.2.r4. I launched Minimwatch from the app folder and all looked OK. I therefore tried restarting the iMac which had produced the original errors in the past. Unfortunately I got the same error as before:

In Privacy & Security > Local Network, is MinimWatch shown as enabled or disabled? Also, does MinimWatch show once or twice?
If you close the message dialog, does MinimWatch show the NAS instance of MinimServer or does it show a grey icon?

The NAS instance of MinimServer has a minim icon that is orange in colour. The dropdown menu is all greyed out apart from the last 3 options that relate to Minimwatch.

In this error situation the icon would usually have a grey background and a red minim note. It sounds like this is what you are seeing.
Please try the following:
1) Exit MinimWatch
2) Disable local nework access for MinimWatch
3) Enable local nework access for MinimWatch
4) Relaunch MinimWatch

OK. Followed this sequence and result was 2 Mimiwatch icons'clear'.
I then did a restart of the iMac and got exactly the same error result as described before, with screen shots. ' Minimwatch startup error.' The NAS minim icon is pale red.

Thanks for trying this and reporting the details of what happened. The "pale red" icon is actually grey but perhaps appears pale red when viewing it against the blue background of your menu bar (your post #25).
This problem of MinimWatch and/or MinimServer not being able to access the local network after the Mac is rebooted was reported by users on Sequoia 15.2 and I saw the same problem. Updating to Sequoia 15.3 cured the problem for me and other users and I have not seen it again. I have tried the same steps as you on Sequoia 15.5 and I am not getting the local network error message.
When this problem was occurring on Sequoia 15.2, the workaround after a reboot was to open Privacy & Security > Local Network and toggle MinimWatch and/or MinimServer off and on. This made the local network accessible. At present I can only suggest that you use this workaround.

I am running Sequoia 15.5 and get the error. I have tried toggling both MinimWatch and MinimServer off and on but this has no effect. I can clear the problem (as noted above) by exiting MinimWatch and restarting it from the applications folder. I guess I'll have to live with this.
